About
TIOL Knowledge Foundation (TKF) is a New Delhi-based non-profit founded to groom a new culture of thought leadership in India's fiscal and economic domains. Its mission: promote fiscal literacy among citizens, empower legislators at national & sub-national levels with fiscal knowledge, and keep taxpayers informed. TKF has been operating since 2000 via its parent TIOL (Tax India Online) and convenes the flagship TIOL Tax Congress each year, bringing together experts in taxation, trade, and public policy.
Past work & impact
Flagship work: Annual TIOL Tax Congress (Taj Palace, New Delhi) with Ministry of Finance & senior judiciary; compendium on '5 Years of GST' (2022) with 40 expert contributors, released by Delhi High Court Justice Manmohan; TIOL Awards honouring compliant taxpayers, tax-tech innovators and fiscal journalists since 2018.
